In the past, you would manually add the ad image to your site along with a link to the advertiser’s destination site but there was no way to show how many impressions or clicks the ad actually received. Not being able to give the advertiser performance reports for an ad that they are paying for is a major problem. Without reporting, it is very difficult for them to see the value in advertising on your site, even if the ad seems to be working.
AdPlugg Tracks Your Ad Performance
The second part is the WordPress ad plugin which is installed on your website. Installing the plugin can be done by downloading the zip file or installing from the WordPress.org website. Once activated and your access code is entered, simply place the widget in the desired widget area. That’s it, the ads that you created in the ad management area will now display on your website and you will be able to track your ad performance on WordPress.
AdPlugg also offers a snippet version that can be used in non widget areas of your WordPress site or any other (non-wordpress) website. The code snippet is provided in the ad management area. From there, you can copy and paste it into your website’s source code. Ads will display and track the same as they do when the widget is used.
