Ad Zones are sections of your page where ads display. An Ad Zone is linked to an Ad Tag. The Ad Tag is placed in your site’s source code in the location where you want the Ad Zone to be. On most sites, an ad Zone represents the same location on every page. Zones typically have names such as "Top Bar" or "Right Side Bar".
When you place an Ad Tag on your site you can specify which Ad Zone it represents. This is done by adding a data-adplugg-zone attribute to the Ad Tag. This attribute will be added automatically when you download the Ad Snippet if you have already created at least one Zone. If you are using the AdPlugg WordPress Ad Plugin, you can enter the Zone's Machine Name into the AdPlugg Widget in order to tie the widget to a particular zone.
To create a Zone, do the following:
Ad Zones can be constrained to only show certain ads or a certain number of ads. Use the size settings to restrict what size ads a zone allows. For example you might want to restrict a zone for your Right Sidebar to ads with a Max Width of 100px. For a Zone called Topbar you might restrict it to ads with a max height of 90px and set the Max Ad Count to 1 so that only one ad is allowed to show in the zone at a time.
You can modify your Zones at any time. The changes that you make will automatically effect the ads that are displayed by tags and widgets on your site that are tied to the Zone. To modify a zone, use the following instructions:
Once you've created a Zone, you can set your Ads or Ad Placements to target the Zone.
