Downloading and Installing the Ad Snippet

This document explains how to add an ad snippet to a website using AdPlugg. The Ad Snippet uses just JavaScript and HTML and works on any website. The AdPlugg Ad Snippet is a super easy way to put ads on your website regardless of your site's platform (Drupal, Joomla, etc), operating system (Windows, Linux, etc.) and programming language (PHP, .Net, Ruby, etc). If your site runs on WordPress you can still use the Snippet but may want to use our WordPress Ad Plugin instead.

To install the Snippet, you will need to access your site's code but will only need to copy and paste.

Steps

  1. If you don't already have one, Get an AdPlugg account (it's free).
  2. Go to the download page for the Ad Snippet
  3. Click the "Get the Snippet!" button at the bottom of the page.
  4. This will open up a window with two blocks of code.
  5. The first block is the code to load the AdPlugg JavaScript API. Edit your site files and place this code right after the opening <head> tag.
  6. Place the second piece of code wherever you want your ad to display.
