I'd like to know whether ads can be scheduled to run by the hour. I'm not talking about running an hour-long ad but I'd like the ability to run an ad from, say, 8 am on Tuesday until 2 pm Thursday, and to preschedule a run that corresponds exactly with that period. The hosting service I'm using now doesn't allow scheduling by the hour and I feel it is affecting my sales because I have many advertisers who prefer to advertise for brief (but frequent) periods of time.
Right now AdPlugg can only schedule ads by date. The ad starts at 12:00 AM (UTC) on the start date and stops at 11:59 PM (UTC) on the end date.
For what you are describing, most publishers sell blocks of impressions. For example, you could sell 10,000 impressions during September to several advertisers. This feature is available with the AdPlugg Business Plan.
Another option is to rotate your ads. For example, you could sell 1/6 of your header to 6 different advertisers. In this scenario, you would use the AdPlugg Ad Rotator to rotate 6 different ads in your header. Ad rotation is available with any plan including the AdPlugg Free Plan.
